As
soon as students can demonstrate mastery in the study skills necessary
to be completely individualized, they move into the following program:
|
.
Following individual work completion, the student immediately grades
his/her own skill pages for immediate identification of areas of
difficulty. (The student may work with an assigned "twin"
throughout the learning process in a unit). |
.
When completed, the student signs up for a Skill Check with the
teacher. Work is evaluated, definitions and concepts are cleared,
and demostration is required as evidence of skill mastery. |
.
If the text has not successfully been used as a learning tool, the
skills will not be mastered. The staff then work to find out where
the misunderstanding exists in the procedure, as well as in the
material. Students are sent back to clean up their study.
|
.
Once certified by the staff as having finished a unit, the student
is signed up for a Skills Test through the Quality Check Department.
The testing in this area is saved and documented into individualized
student Qualification Notebooks. |
.
Testing that does not receive 100% mastery is forwarded back to
the teacher for clean-up and re-testing. |
